I'm from the Bay Area, love playing basketball and dance on the competitive Bhangra team here at Duke. I am proud to be an executive member of the Sikh Society at Duke because of my passion for equity and my goal of educating more people about our religion.

My spiritual path is that of a Sikh, which translates as “student”. As a life-long learner, my research focus is embodied, experiential education, particularly that which promotes social change. I am interested in ways that dance, theater and yoga can be used as tools for personal and social transformation, particularly with communities often identified as “at risk”.

I'm an undergraduate engineering student from India. I firmly believe in the idea of 'Ik Onkar' (universal oneness) central to Sikhi and feel deeply humbled to be able to serve my community through this venture. As president, I aspire to work towards making Duke an even more inclusive and welcoming environment for people from different walks of life to come and work together.
